Single row radial bearings are the most widely used type of bearings. They are particularly versatile, simple in design, suitable for high and even very high speeds and robust in operation, requiring little maintenance.

These bearings are manufactured in a wide range of both metric and imperial sizes, ranging from 3mm up to 260mm bore, or 1/8” – 16” bore.

They are available in sealed versions with shields or contact seals on one or both sides. The bearings with seals or shields on both sides are lubricated for life and are maintenance-free; however they should not be washed or heated to temperatures above 80 deg C.

Special types are also available, such as high temperature bearings and bearings with special greases. This type of bearing is also produced with snap rings and grooves.
