Types.

These pulleys are available in wide range of sizes and styles,

The basic information we require to size a pulley is:

Tooth Pitch - Belt Width -       Number of Teeth / Pulley Diameter.

Other Options:

Bore: 
Most timing pulleys are available in either a taper bush or a pilot bore option. We also offer a machining service and can have your pulleys bored and keyed to your requirements.

Flanges:
Nearly all timing pulleys are available with or without flanges.

Material:
As standard timing pulleys are usually made from either steel or cast iron, smaller sizes in steel larger in cast. However many of the smaller sizes are available in aluminium, you will need to specify this requirement at the time of your enquiry. Large size pulleys can be manufactured in aluminium, however these are made to order which would be reflected in the price.

SPECIAL TIMING PULLEYS

We can have special or odd size pulleys manufactured, ideally we require a drawing, if no drawing is available we can reverse engineer from samples. If there is no drawing or sample speak to our sales team we may still be able to help.

Synchronous belts drives are one of the most popular types of power transmission drives in use today. Widely used because  they offer important properties such as fixed speed ratios, no re-tensioning after installation, low maintenance with a wide variety of power transmission capacity and speed drives.

960 = 960mm pitch length T10 = 10mm pitch length  50 = width 50mm

Note: when identifying a timing belt it is preferable to count the number of pitches on the existing belt rather than measuring the length, as older belts may have stretched.

960 – 8M - 50  

960= 960mm pitch length  8M = pitch (8.00mm)  50 = width 50mm

 CUT EDGE – COGGED BELT

 Construction:
Special top rubberised fabric.
Polychloroprene cushion rubber compound.
Specially treated and stabilised polyester and Kevlar cord.
Fibre filled Polychloroprene rubber compound.
Moulded cogged for better flexibility.
